This Rocket Matter Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) is open to all natural persons who are: (a) legal residents of the United States and District of Columbia, excluding Florida, New York, and Rhode Island; (b) at least 18 years old at time of entry; (c) currently enrolled as a student pursuing a juris doctor degree at a law school offering Lawcountability, J.D. that has active student accounts; and (d) in the class year in which the law school is offering Lawcountability, J.D. Void outside the USA, in Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, and other United States territories and possessions. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. The Sweepstakes is void where prohibited by law.
The Sweepstakes sponsor is Ucountics LLC (“Sponsor”), located at 300 Millburn Avenue # 244, Millburn, NJ 07041. Sponsor and its respective affiliates, subsidiaries, successors, assigns, agents, representatives, officers, directors, shareholders, and employees, and any entity involved in the development, production, implementation, administration, judging or fulfillment of the Sweepstakes, including without limitation, the immediate family members of such individuals, are not eligible to participate. Sponsor will conduct the Sweepstakes substantially as described in these Official Rules.
This Sweepstakes entry period begins on Sunday April 01, 2018 at 9:01 AM ET and ends on Monday April 30, 2018 at 5:00 PM ET (“Entry Period”).
During the Entry Period, there are two ways to enter:
1. Visit the Sweepstakes registration page located on Sponsor’s website at http://www.Lawcountability.com/students and follow the instructions to electronically complete and submit the Sweepstakes entry form. You will be asked to provide basic contact information, including your name, email address, law school, class year, and a code from the current video available on http://www2.LawcountabilityJD.com. (NOTE: You must complete all required fields of the entry form with information that is valid on the date of the drawing to be eligible.)All entries become the property of Sponsor and none will be acknowledged or returned.
2. Send a postcard with your full name, e-mail address, law school, class year, and the words – Rocket Matter Sweepstakes – to Ucountics LLC, 300 Millburn Avenue # 244, Millburn, NJ 07041. (NOTE: You must provide all required information that is valid on the date of the drawing to be eligible and it must be received within the Entry Period.) All entries become the property of Sponsor and none will be acknowledged or returned.
Sponsor is not liable for entries which are lost in the mail or other method of transit, or which are lost due to data breach, electronic glitch, power outage, problems with Sponsor’s hardware or software, act of war or terrorism, act of god, or other act of force majeure or act which is outside of the reasonable control of Sponsor.
LIMIT ONE ENTRY PER PERSON PER MONTH. PRIOR WINNERS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO ENTER. No third party entry or entry through any sweepstakes service is permitted. Any person who attempts or otherwise encourages the entry of multiple or false contact information under multiple identities or uses any device or artifice to enter or encourage multiple or false entries, as determined in the sole reasonable discretion of Sponsor, will be disqualified. Use of robotic entry devices is strictly prohibited.
Two (2) Grand Prizes will be awarded, each which consists of one $25 Amazon.com® e-gift certificate, subject to all restrictions and limitations in connection therewith. Winner agrees to accept the Grand Prize “as is” and entrants here by acknowledge that Sponsor is not in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation, or guarantee relative to the Grand Prize, including warranties provided exclusively by a prize supplier. Retail value of the Grand Prize is $25. Any difference between stated approximate retail value and actual value of Grand Prize will not be awarded. Winner is solely responsible for any federal, state, and local taxes. Prizes are non-transferable and no substitution or cash equivalent is permitted. Each prize is awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied, by Sponsor or Administrator. LIMIT ONE PRIZE PER PERSON.
Winners will be selected on or about Tuesday May 1, 2018 at the principal place of business of Ucountics LLC, 300 Millburn Avenue # 244, Millburn, NJ 07041. The drawing will be conducted by Ucountics LLC, whose decisions and interpretations on all matters relating to the Sweepstakes and these Official Rules are final and binding in all respects. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant or winner and may refuse to award a prize to a person who is not eligible or has violated a rule, gained unfair advantage in the Sweepstakes, or obtained winner status using fraudulent means. If there is a dispute about the identity of an entrant, the prize will be awarded to the natural person to whom the email address is assigned by the internet service provider responsible for the domain associated with the submitted email address. If winner is found to be ineligible or not in compliance with Sweepstakes rules, winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be awarded the prize in a separate random drawing. Winner will be notified by email at the email address provided in the entry submission. Inability of Sponsor to contact winner by email within seventy-two (72) hours after selection or the failure of winner to respond to Sponsor via email within forty-eight (48) hours after Sponsor provides notice via email of winner’s selection, may result in disqualification of winner and an alternate winner may be selected in a random drawing at Sponsor’s discretion. Prize will be sent to winner by email within fourteen (14) days after winner has been notified and accepted the prize via email. If prize is returned as undeliverable, then prize will be forfeited and another winner will be randomly drawn.
The odds of winning will depend on the number of eligible entries received, according to the eligibility requirements in the Sweepstakes.
WARNING: ANY ATTEMPT BY ANY PERSON, WHETHER OR NOT AN ENTRANT, TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE, DESTROY, TAMPER WITH OR VANDALIZE ANY SPONSOR-OWNED WEBSITE OR MOBILE APPLICATION OR RELATED SOCIAL NETWORKING SITE, THE ENTRY PROCESS, OR OTHERWISE INTERFERE WITH OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES, MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND DILIGENTLY PURSUE ALL REMEDIES AGAINST ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
By entering this Sweepstakes, you promise to abide by the Official Rules and decisions of Sponsor, which will be final and binding in all respects. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to refuse, disqualify or withdraw any entry at any time. Sponsor will not be responsible for any injury, damage or loss of any kind arising out of your participation in the Sweepstakes.
YOU AGREE TO RELEASE, DISCHARGE, AND HOLD HARMLESS SPONSOR, ITS AFFILIATES, SUBSIDIARIES, EMPLOYEES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, AGENTS AND ASSIGNS, AND ROCKET MATTER LLC, FROM AND AGAINST ANY OR ALL CLAIMS, LOSSES, INJURIES, OR DAMAGES RESULTING FROM PARTICIPATION IN THE SWEEPSTAKES.
Except where prohibited by law, by accepting prize, winner grants Sponsor a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use winner’s name, photograph, voice, and/or likeness without further authorization, compensation, or remuneration of any kind for advertising, promotion and other publicity purposes in any and all media now or hereafter known throughout the world.
The names of the winners are available only within fourteen (14) days after the close of the Sweepstakes. To receive the names of the winners, where permitted by law, or a printed copy of the Sweepstakes Official Rules, please contact Sponsor by sending a self-addressed stamped return envelope to Ucountics LLC, 300 Millburn Avenue # 244, Millburn, NJ 07041.
These Official Rules shall be interpreted and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey. Any dispute arising out of, or relating to in any way, these Official Rules or the Sweepstakes, that has not been resolved after a reasonable attempt by the parties (which attempt shall include at least one (1) in-person meeting or video conference between principals of each party with full authority to resolve the dispute), shall be submitted to arbitration in accordance with the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association then in effect. The arbitration shall be conducted in Essex County, New Jersey. Any action outside of the scope of arbitration shall be brought exclusively in courts situated in Newark, New Jersey, and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of such courts.
In the event that any provision of these Official Rules are held illegal, void or ineffective, the remaining portions will remain in full force and effect. These Official Rules shall not be construed so as to create any third-party beneficiaries, except as specifically stated herein. These Official Rules constitute the entire agreement between the parties regarding the subject matter contained herein and supersedes all prior and contemporaneous undertakings and agreements, whether written or oral.
